Create and add a payout wallet
Prepare a self-custody wallet you control, add its public receiving address to PolyPay, and verify the flow with a small test order.
PolyPay does not create or custody your wallet
PolyPay only monitors the public blockchain address you add. It never has access to your private key, recovery phrase, or wallet password, and customer funds go directly to your wallet.
Step 1: Choose a network and currency
Decide which network customers will use before choosing a wallet. The address, network, and currency must match.

Step 2: Choose a trusted self-custody wallet
- Confirm that the wallet explicitly supports your chosen network and currency.
- Start from the wallet provider’s official website and verify the app developer and domain.
- Do not use an exchange deposit address. PolyPay does not support exchange or other custodial platform addresses.

Step 3: Create and back up the wallet
- Create a new wallet inside the wallet app and set a unique local password.
- Write down the recovery phrase or recovery material offline and store it somewhere only you can access.
- Never screenshot it, upload it to cloud storage, send it to support, or paste it into PolyPay. Anyone with the recovery phrase may move the assets.
Step 4: Copy the public receiving address
- Open Receive in the wallet app.
- Select the same network and currency you chose in Step 1.
- Copy the public address and verify its first and last characters. Never copy a private key, recovery phrase, or address from another network.
Step 5: Add it to PolyPay
- Open Wallet Management in the merchant dashboard and select Add Wallet.
- Enter a recognizable name, paste the public address, and verify the detected network.
- Select only the currencies the address will receive, optionally make it the default wallet, and save.
Step 6: Complete a small test
Create and pay a small test order. Confirm that the PolyPay order status updates and the funds arrive in your wallet before sending production payment links.
Security checklist
- PolyPay will never ask for your private key, recovery phrase, or wallet password.
- Do not use an exchange deposit address or another custodial address.
- Never transfer across networks, even when two addresses look similar.
- Run a small test before accepting production payments.
About network gas
Receiving assets normally does not require you to prepay gas. To send assets from the wallet later, you will need the network gas token, such as TRX, ETH, SOL, or BNB.
