Email and Notification Center

Understand mandatory transactional email, configurable email channels, delivery logs, and retries in PolyPay.

Mandatory transactional notifications

Balance recharge credits, withdrawal submission and final decisions, subscription activation, automatic renewal results, and password, email, 2FA, passkey, or API key changes create an in-app notification and send email to the account address. Merchant templates cannot disable these financial and security notices.

Configurable email channel

  1. Open Notification Center → Channels and add an Email channel.
  2. Enter a valid recipient, select production or sandbox, and send a test notification; invalid addresses are rejected before submission.
  3. When enabled, active templates can deliver order, wallet, webhook, and x402 events by email.
  4. Disable high-volume events from Templates when per-event email is unnecessary.

Delivery and retries

Every notification email has a delivery log. Failed sends use stepped backoff for up to five attempts and can also be resent manually. Event deduplication prevents the same business state from generating duplicate mail.

Email language

Email supports Chinese and English. Templates are selected in this order: event locale, merchant email language, account UI language, then English. Switching the UI language while signed in synchronizes the account setting; Merchant Info can override it or inherit the account setting.

Template content

New merchants start with only the Order payment succeeded and x402 payment succeeded templates enabled; other configurable events must be enabled manually from Templates. Notification templates configure content only and no longer have a separate title template. Telegram, WhatsApp, WeCom, Discord, and Feishu send the template content directly. In-app notifications, browser push, Email, and Webhook keep the system event title; Email uses it as the subject.

Balance consumption policy

Subscription purchases and automatic renewals are receipt-worthy balance consumption and send transactional email. Small PAYG charges for orders, notifications, and wallets do not send one email per charge; review those details in the balance ledger.
